n accordance with the Lions Club International program Sightfirst, the Manila Allied Lions Club embraced this program of vision. This was started fifteen years ago when the Lions Club International found out there was an increase in sight deterioration leading to blindness. They started conducting free eye check ups and had given free eye glasses. They also sponsored free cataract operations for the needy.

This program had been very successful giving the recipients new life. People were able to live and work normally, honed their skills and advanced in their fields of profession. Manila Allied, immediately took on this legacy and implemented the same project here in the country.
